Whithin the research project “Dominants of the Investment-Innovation Policy for Environmental Management of the National Economy” (Registration No.0120U100160, performance period: 01.01.2020 – 31.12.2020, Scientific Supervisors of the research: Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Economics, Professor B. Burkynskyi; Doctor of Economics, Professor N. Andryeyeva), the following scientific results were obtained:
The institutional framework for investment-innovation policy in rational natural resource management in Ukraine was defined within the framework of the state’s European integration requirements. Adaptive mechanisms and institutional frameworks for stimulating the production, transfer, and provision of environmental innovations in investment policy for rational natural resource management in Ukraine were proposed. Methodological provisions and recommendations for strategic management of investment-innovation activities in rational natural resource use were developed based on the “quadruple helix” innovation concept. A comprehensive assessment of the interrelationship between investment-innovation potential and natural resource potential of the national economy was conducted, diagnosing modern usage trends in Ukraine and establishing causal links between the level of investment-innovation support and: environmental protection measures in specific sectors and regions; sustainable use of natural resource components (water, energy, land, forests, minerals, and protected areas); eco-intensity dynamics (waste and carbon intensity). This allowed for substantiation of the feedback relationship between the state of the natural environment and investment-innovation policy in natural resource management.

Within the research project “Organizational and economic mechanism for increasing the productivity of entrepreneurial activity in Ukraine” (№0120U101163, deadline 01.01.2020 – 31.12.2021) scientific supervisor: Doctor of Economics, Professor Laiko O.I., the following scientific results were obtained:
Organizational and economic mechanisms and tools for increasing the productivity of entrepreneurial activity have been developed in the aspects of institutional and tax stimulation of the reproduction and reinvestment of capital in high-tech sectors of the economy, involvement in economic turnover of hidden assets of enterprises, ensuring socially fair taxation of income of individuals, stimulating employment and increasing local budget revenues, activating public-private partnership and establishing a moratorium on increasing the tax burden on added value created by the entrepreneurial sector. The feasibility of using added value as the main indicator of the productivity of business structures is substantiated, which is defined as a socially beneficial result from the effective transformation of material, financial, energy, intellectual, organizational and managerial resources, competencies, opportunities, into qualitatively new economic goods with greater value and utility, in accordance with the needs and expectations of stakeholders in transformational conditions, which expresses the essence of entrepreneurship not as a factor, but as an organizer of production. A strategy for increasing the productivity of business activities and a system of indicators of the effectiveness of its implementation have been developed, the target values of which are calculated for the period until 2030 and complement the provisions of the Strategy for Sustainable Development of Ukraine.

Whithin the research project “Economic and Environmental Priorities of the Green Economy in the Context of Ukraine’s Sustainable Development” (Registration No.0118U006524, performance period: 01.09.2018 – 31.12.2019, Scientific Supervisor of the research: Doctor of Economics, Professor N. Andryeyeva), the following scientific results were obtained:

It incorporates an expanded system of basic indicators, including European and new author-developed eco-economic metrics, for a comprehensive assessment of progress toward achieving sustainable development goals in Ukraine. Methodological recommendations were developed for assessing the impact of economic indicators on key “green growth” indicators (as an alternative to decoupling analysis), employing logical-structural analysis of factors affecting resource and ecological productivity of GDP, extended research procedures to assess productivity trends, diagnose economic security parameters, and evaluate the impact of agriculture and raw material exports on the environment.

Within the research project “Development of innovative development strategies for regions of Ukraine based on glocalization (using the example of the Odessa region)” (Registration No.0118U100246, performance period 10.2018–12.2019, Scientific Supervisor: Doctor of Economics, Professor O. Iermakova) the following scientific results were obtained:
A methodology for strategizing innovative development of regions was originally formed, based on the concept of a complementary combination of local, global, and institutional components of innovative development to ensure the adaptability of regional innovation systems to constant changes caused by glocalization processes. A methodological toolkit for the diagnostic and project stages of strategizing was developed, particularly a methodological approach to assessing the state of innovative development of the region and its institutional support, as well as defining scenarios and forming a set of tools for innovative development of regions. A pattern (regularity) has been identified regarding the increasing influence of environmental innovations on the processes of market glocalization, the essence of which lies in the ability to transform the nature, parameters, and direction of integration of commodity markets into the international economic exchange, to coordinate its economic, social and environmental targets, to activate glocalization processes of an environmentally oriented type to ensure sustainable balanced development of the economy of the state and its regions. A draft Strategy for the Innovation Development of the Odessa Region has been worked out.
