MEETING WITH THE PRESIDENT OF THE NATIONAL ACADEMY OF SCIENCES OF UKRAINE
ANATOLII ZAHORODNII
On 6–7 July 2022, a visit took place by the President of the NAS of Ukraine, Academician of the NAS of Ukraine Anatolii Hlibovych Zahorodnii and the Vice-President of the NAS of Ukraine, Academician of the NAS of Ukraine Viacheslav Leonidovych Bohdanov to the State Organisation “Institute of Market Problems and Economic-Ecological Research of the NAS of Ukraine”.
During the meeting with the team of the SO “IMPEER of the NAS of Ukraine”, the President of the NAS of Ukraine noted the significant contribution of the Institute’s researchers to the development of programme measures for the post-war recovery of the economy of the Odesa region and set the task of adjusting the further topics of research, which will be aimed at the economic recovery and development of Ukraine and the Southern regions in the post-war period.
Particular interest was shown in such directions of scientific and scientific-organisational activity as:
- Development of water transport and the logistics of sea and Danube ports in modern conditions;
- Strategising the sustainable development of communities on the principles of cohesion, and participation in international project activity (in particular, under the programmes of the Danube Strategy, Erasmus+ and the European Eastern Partnership);
- Ensuring food security and the development of strategic commodity markets and the aquaculture market as one of the priorities for the country and the Odesa region;
- Preservation and development of natural assets and recreational potential;
- Development of enterprises under digitalisation;
- Scientific activity of young scientists, and organisational and economic mechanisms to support the process of training scientific personnel.
