The research and educational complexes ensure the coordination of the joint activity of their participants in the development of science and education, which contributes to the effective use of scientific and pedagogical personnel and of the educational, laboratory and production facilities, to the introduction of a system of multi-level training of specialists, to the organisation of professional development for scientific and pedagogical staff, to the development of educational and methodological support, to the joint conduct of research work, and to the testing and use of research results. Through the research and educational complexes, the training of young scientists is strengthened, and master’s students and practitioners from higher education institutions are drawn into scientific work, the conduct of research and study in targeted postgraduate programmes. Overall, the activity of the research and educational complexes is an important component of the organisational and economic support for the innovative development of the national economy.
Following the entry into force of the new version of the Law of Ukraine “On Higher Education” in 2016, the Institute obtained licences to conduct educational activity at the third (scientific-educational) level of higher education in the specialties 051 “Economics” and 073 “Management”. The Institute has concluded cooperation agreements with a number of higher education institutions for the educational-methodological, material-technical and information support of the training of Doctors of Philosophy in the Institute’s postgraduate programme, in particular with: the Kyiv University of Trade and Economics, Kherson National Technical University and Odesa National Polytechnic University of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
