On March 24, 2026, the State Organization “Institute of Market and Economic & Ecological Research of the NAS of Ukraine” and the Municipal Institution of Extracurricular Education “Odesa Ecological and Naturalistic Center “Afalina”” signed a Memorandum of Cooperation within the framework of the SturNet BSB 00172 project.
Given common interests in the field of environmental education, biodiversity conservation and the development of scientific and educational activities, the purpose of the Memorandum is to join efforts to:
– implement joint educational, scientific and environmental and educational activities;
– increase the level of environmental awareness of young people;
– develop research initiatives and involve students in scientific activities;
– promote the conservation of natural resources and biodiversity, in particular in the Black Sea-Danube region.
We invite all stakeholders – researchers, policymakers, ecologists and biodiversity advocates – to join the SturNet BSB00172 initiative and join us in this mission. Together we can protect sturgeon populations, the Black Sea Basin ecosystem and pave the way for a more sustainable future!
