On April 4, 2026, a training seminar was held as part of the StutNet BSB00172 project, titled “Network for the Preservation of Sturgeon and for the Sustainability of the Black Sea Basin Ecosystem.”
The event took place at the “Afalina” Ecology and Nature Center with the participation of students and teachers. During the seminar, participants were introduced to current issues regarding the conservation of sturgeon species, their importance to the biodiversity of the Black Sea basin, and the necessity of implementing sustainable development principles. Special emphasis was placed on the role of youth in environmental protection, the formation of ecological awareness, and the practical steps individuals can take to preserve the environment.
The event featured an interactive format that encouraged active discussion, the exchange of ideas, and the engagement of participants in environmental initiatives. This seminar represents a significant step forward in raising youth awareness about the protection of aquatic ecosystems and the preservation of rare fish species.
